Yay! Finished another DIY project...or a DIS project (Do It Sister). More on that later.
Shifting gears....
I'd like to think I'm pretty crafty, I can envision and glue and paper create to my hearts content, but there are "crafty" things I'm afraid of. Like deathly afraid of. I tried to make my three year old a princess costume for Halloween and um...kind of....got my...uh...finger caught in the sewing machine. *hangs head in shame* I'm too scared to "get back on the horse" so this ring bearer pillow was going to be a project I would delegate. So my sister came back from college abroad and we went SHOPPING for supplies.
Went to Joann's and Walmart and got:
Lace: 2.99 w/ 40% off coupon for 2 yards
Ribbon: 1.99 for 1 yard
Red Taffeta fabric: 3.00 w/ 40% off coupon for half a yard
Bunch of red fabric flowers: .94
Pack of 3 Rhinestone buttons: 1.96
Thin brown ribbon: .47
My sister already had the "stuffing" for the pillow so I didn't have to purchase that. We have extra left of everything so I'm going to divide everything by 2 to get an actual cost analysis for this in a final "budget breakdown." For now, here's my wonderful sister's final product:

I'm in LOVE with it! I don't think it could be any more perfect! And it feels good to have a "check" next to the pillow now. :)What are some recent wedding "checks" you've completed?
